With the cost of living having hit the roof, Kenyans are going to any length to provide food to their families.
The escalating prices of basic commodities especially milk, unga(flour) and sugar has left many desolate.
And what would you do if in the midst of this misery, a lorry load of milk overturned in your neighborhood?
You definitely would resort to what residents of Kakamega did; loot.
When a lorry full of milk crashed along Mombasa Road, Kenyans came in their numbers and helped themselves to the now rare commodity.
The Brookside Dairy Limited truck overturned and lay on its side and not even a single person could care to know if the driver was safe or not.
Photos shared by Kenyans on social media showed tens of residents making away with packets of milk as motorists looked on.
A video shared on Twitter by one @VMZOLEX showed packets of milk scattered all over. Hungry residents and motorists were captured in amateur clips rushing to pick all they could carry.

Police officers who arrived at the scene watched helplessly as Kenyans stole the commodity.
