Ken Mijungu celebrates Victoria Rubadiri after landing CNN role
Ken Mijungu, a journalist from KTN, recently shared a sincere message for his former coworker, Victoria Rubadiri, who made the decision to leave Citizen TV for CNN.
In his message, he expressed his belief in Victoria’s potential for success, a belief that he held since their time working together at NTV.
“Huyu I will celebrate her achievements. @victoria_rubadiri congratulations my friend. I always knew your star was very bright.”
He then went on to give a hilarious story of how she cutely mispronounced his name while on air.
“So one day when Vicky and I were on set she forgot how she called me offline and when she was done doing her intro she decided to introduce me, instead of Ken Mijungu she said MenKijungu because that’s what she called me.”
He finished by sharing some throwback photos of the two while on set together while they were still at NTV.
“Congratulations and represent! Some TBT pics because the only time you should look back is when you want to see how far you have come.”
His message comes hot on the heels of CNN International correspondent Larry Madowo’s own message to his new colleague.
Using his socials, Madowo has excitedly welcomed his former colleague at NTV, Ms Rubadiri as she takes up a new role at CNN.
“Congrats and welcome to CNN, partner! 🥳,” wrote.
