United Democratic Alliance (UDA) nominated senator Karen Nyamu has refuted claims of financial struggles, including allegations of an auction over unpaid rent arrears.
Speaking on K24 TV on November 19, 2024, Nyamu dismissed the reports as baseless, asserting her financial stability.
Addressing Auction and Rent Arrears Allegations
Reports had circulated claiming auctioneers, accompanied by police, visited Nyamu’s Runda home to seize property for unpaid rent.
Nyamu denied these allegations, stating they are fabrications meant to intimidate her.
“There are people trying to use rogue means to intimidate me. I am here to teach them that such tactics don’t work on everyone; the right way must be followed,” she affirmed.
Offers of Support
Nyamu revealed that rumors of her financial woes led to well-wishers offering assistance, with some even sending contributions to her phone.
“Yesterday, I got people wanting to raise money for me. They think I am broke; I am not broke, but thank you for your concern. I actually received some contributions, which I am grateful for, but I am fine,” she said, laughing off the rumors.

Lifestyle Speculations
Addressing her critics, Nyamu reassured, “I am living well. Though broke, I haven’t reached a level to beg for funds.”
While the senator refrained from disclosing specific details about the alleged auction, her comments signal readiness to address the issue legally.
Despite frequent public scrutiny, Nyamu remains undeterred by the latest allegations.
