Joyous Moment as Raila Odinga Meets His Legal Team and Secretariat
After the just-completed Presidential petition hearing, Raila Odinga, the presidential candidate for the One Kenya coalition, met with his legal team.
While making their submissions before the Supreme Court, Raila praised his staff for a job well done.

Raila may be seen seated next to his running companion Martha Karua and senior attorney James Orengo in a picture released by the coalition’s campaign secretariat spokesperson Prof. Makau Mutua.
Prior to the hearing, which started on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, the team was introduced.
At the time, the coalition promised its followers through a spokesperson that the group would see to it that justice was done.

The legal wits will be led by Siaya Governor-Elect James Orengo, Nyamira Senator Okongo Omogeni, Senior Counsel Phillip Murgor, and Senior Counsel Pheroze Nowrojee, according to Mutua, who dubbed the group as the best team of attorneys in Kenya.

“The case management team is led by Paul Mwangi and is composed of Jackson Awele, Julie Soweto, Velma Maumo, Prof Ben Sihanya, Fred Orego, Dan Maanzo and Tom Macharia.
“Other lawyers on the team are Tony Moturi, Dr Judy Oloo, Celestine Opiyo, Arnold Oginga, Barbara Malowa, Addah Awiti, Justus Jura, Leonard Okanda, Plister Omondi, Winnie Makaba, Jerusah Michael, Deborass Bubi, George Ouma, Edward Ambala, Geoffrey Sore, Naila Salim, Tabitha Wathuti, John Njomo, Jacqueline Njoroge, Speranza Nywaira, Kinyua, Hannington Amol, Ndegwa Njiiru, Mathews Okoth, Kennedy Wanyanga, Kevin Katisya,” the press statement read in part.
“The consultants on the petition legal team are Prof Makau Mutua, C.N Kihara, Dr Adams Oloo, and Caesar Vanjao,” the statement read further.
