Madam Joyce Malit a teacher at Siyiapei Primary School in Narok County, was in class when she she spotted one of her female pupil going home with a torn uniform.
The uniform torn apart which was exposing the grade 3 pupil’s body to the public making her feel naive in walking in company with other pupils.
Madam Joyce Sempela Malit has been a teacher since 1989.
“This is a Grade Three girl whose dress got torn all around as she was in the field. The child is young and her home is very far so I couldn’t have released the child half naked,” Joyce said.
“I decided to sew her dress. I can never miss a thread and a needle in my handbag. I closed the door, took my leso, removed her dress and tied her with my leso in case somebody peeped through the windows,” Madam Joyce narrated.
A section of Kenyans on social media now want Teacher Service Commission (TSC) to promote the said teacher due to her love for children and humane heart.
According to reports, Joyce is a Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT)’s Narok North Woman Representative.
