During his wife’s burial ceremony in Kajiado, Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi paid an impassioned homage to his deceased wife.
Memusi’s wife Stella was killed in a car accident in Isinya on the evening of Monday, May 29, while returning to school with her children.
The MP, who was seen battling to suppress his pain and tears during her burial ceremony today, Tuesday, June 6, had his tribute read by a close friend during the gathering attended by several political heavyweights.
“Baby girl, whenever I called you that my heart would smile. We have shared love and friendship that surpasses all challenges. The love and friendship that you gave all of us is what will see us through this difficult time.
We have always prepared how you will take care of the kids in case of my absence but we never imagined you being gone. We never prepared for this,” the tribute read by the MP’s friend Ezekiel read in part.
“You, however, laid a strong foundation of love and friendship which as a family we shall build on and cherish forever. I love you my baby and I shall take care of our children in the best way. Dance with the angels and you shall remain deeply engraved in my heart.”
During the burial, Memusi’s children also gave emotional tributes in honour of their mother whom they said loved them with all her heart.
