Webuye West Constituency Returning Officer Emmanuel Onyango was the first to report results with more officers expected to stream into the centre today.

The Commission has to ascertain the figures in the physical forms match that which is in the digital form transmitted to the public portal maintained by the electoral agency.

An IEBC official who did not want to be named told the Star that returning officers from far-flung areas would be flown to Nairobi using choppers to hasten the process.

“We have choppers on call for the returning officers coming from far flung areas. We anticipate they will stream-in today,” the official said.

IEBC projects that each CRO would take about 40 minutes to be cleared, with the view to finishing the collation by Friday evening.

The number of forms 34A received so far are 46,129 against 46,229 – a difference of 100.
