Dancehall musician KRG the Don has claimed that he will charge Ksh 250,000 for followers to follow him back on Instagram.
The singer shared on social media that he doesn’t follow random people or people with no money.
“I don’t follow random peeps kama I don’t know you personally or hauna kakitu. But ukifika bei ya $2000 /Ksh 250,000 I will dearly follow back.”
KRG claimed he made the information public because he was having fun with a fan who was sat next to him and asked for a follow-back.
” My manager asked him yeye ni mtoto wa Nani he said ni fan wa KRG, Bughaa ako na allergy ya utiaji na umaskini.”
The revelation has however not pleased many including musician Dufla Diligon who feel that KRG is exploiting the love his fans have for him.
KRG The Don’s wealth
Karuga Kimani, popularly referred to as KRG The Don, has described himself as one of the richest musicians in Kenya. KRG The Don said he’s worth KSh 5 billion.
The artiste revealed he is worth KSh 5 billion and made his first million aged 17 in 2008.
“I am approaching KSh 5 billion, pesa iko hii dunia (There’s money in this world). I made my first million in 2008 when I was 17,” he said during an interview with TV 47.
The Mathogothanio hitmaker revealed his father used to give him a lot of money while still in school.
He said he spent the money wisely, and that’s how he got rich.
“I was always a smart kid, and from an early age in High school, I started making money. My dad used to give me a lot of money, he used to give me like KSh 150k, and I only needed sh 40k. I was keen and used it wisely.”
KRG The Don’s music
The flamboyant musician ventured into the music aged 16, and his interest has risen since then.
The trained deejay has released several dancehall and hip-hop tracks under G Hood Records. He has collaborated with other artistes such as Jiggy, Khaligraph Jones, Boondocks, DJ Lyta and Sailors.
Some of his hits include We Run This ft Magix Enga, Body Fine, Kairetu, Nyandus, Lamba Lolo ft DJ Kalonje, Wheel It ft DJ Lyta, Some Money and Poz Pan.
Others are I like it, Twa Twa, Summer Time, Mr International, Kuroria, Giddem, Every Girl, Intro, Whine, Antidote, Saucy and If you Love Jah.
He manages the Fast Cash Music Group, which offers audio and visual recording services.
As reported by Kiss 100, he claimed most consumers of his music are in Europe and the United States of Americ, where money is.
The 31-year-old disclosed he has several real estate and transport investments to his name. The musician said he spends an average of KSh 100,000 daily buying fuel and lunch as he dismissed claims he’s into wash-wash.
“When someone is down, and they do not want to work hard, they can create any story. They start saying it is illegal business since I have friends who have been mentioned in the ‘wash wash’ thing,” he defended himself.

On October 13, he showed off his exquisite salon and barbershop on Instagram. The salon is located in Kilimani
Kilions Group
According to Who Owns Kenya, KRG The Don owns Kilions Group.
The company deals with the construction of roads and buildings.
“My money comes from business. I am into construction. I have a company called Kilions Group that builds roads and buildings,” he said.
Taraja Safaris
The musician has interests in the tourism and hospitality industry, which earns Kenya billions in foreign exchange.
He owns a travel and tours firm dubbed Taraja Safaris. It offers ticket services, safaris and car hire services.
Transport and real estate business
The youthful artiste also runs commercial lorries, including trailers and tippers. With the booming roads and construction sector, he rakes in millions.
He also revealed he has several yards where he sells cars and owns properties in real estate, but he did not divulge details.
