On 5th September President-elect William Ruto asked journalists whereabouts of Royal Media services journalists during the Karen press conference.
During the Q and A session, Ruto asked:
“Where are my good friends from Citizen? How is Stephen Letoo & Inooro TV? Say hi to Chemutai Goin..”
Adding:
“Let’s now put the campaign behind us and build Kenya!”
The president-elect went on to assure SK Macharia’s employees that they would be treated fairly despite the coverage issues he had raised before polls.
Stephen Letoo has since responded to William Ruto. He posted on his verified Facebook page saying:

During the meeting, Ruto said he will make a call to Raila Odinga and his Azimio brigade to discuss how they will move Kenya forward.
He said the talks will focus on how the Azimio leader and his team will perform their role as the opposition to ensure that his government performs its mandate diligently.
Ruto said he does not believe in handshakes and expects Azimio will work as an opposition to hold the executive accountable.
“I will also make a call to my worthy competitor, Raila Odinga. I look forward to a conversation on how they will hold us accountable,” he said.
“… and they will ensure that public resources are put to good use in an accountable manner. I don’t believe in handshake stories.”
He said they will respect Uhuru and Raila in his retirement.
“We are honorable people, we are not petty and we are not jealous… When our good friend Raila Odinga retires we will also give him the respect he deserves ,” he said.
