How to get the 2019 KCPE results
The results of the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams have been released by Education CS George Magoha.
Speaking during the release of the exams in Nairobi, Magoha noted that cases of cheating have dropped, with nothing noteworthy to report on.
1,083,456 students sat for the exams, with 18 counties registering more female candidates. Compared to the 2018 exams, candidates improved in four subjects, English, Kiswahili and Kenya Sign language and Social Studies and Religious Education.
Even though the overall performance is an improvement from last year’s exams, there was a drop in perfomance in Mathematics and Science.
Nairobi, Kakamega and Nakuru counties had the highest candidature, respectively.
Magoha further reassured all the candidates of admittance in high schools in line with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s directive.
“We will ensure that the placement process is quick, fair and transparent,” he said, adding that “by December 2, every candidate should know the school they are going to.”
