Andrew Kibe has been hitting the headlines for the wrong reasons. After quitting his presenter job at Kiss 100, he headed to the US, where he currently resides.
His career took a whole new shape when he started criticizing celebrities for their lifestyles and behaviors. When I say criticizing, I mean harsh words that make “his victims” clap back, enabling the online drama to keep rolling.
Among the celebrities, Kibe has taken his time to criticize include, Mulamwah, Carey Priscillah, KRG the Don, Kamene Goro, Thee Pluto, and many others.
Away from Kibe’s drama, very little is known about him. Therefore, the Mkenya Leo team combined the important information about him you need to know.
Education
I know most of you might despise Kibe because of the drama he causes online. But behind his controversy is a smart boy who went to one of the most prestigious schools in this country.
In previous interviews, he revealed that he went to Nairobi Milimani School and one of his famous schoolmates is Mutula Kilonzo Jr., the sitting senator of Makueni County. Can you believe that!
Career
Kibe came to the limelight when he started working at NRG radio, where he was co-hosting a morning show with radio queen Kamene Goro. His unapologetic opinions on sensitive matters about supporting the boy-child, who has been neglected, made him popular.
While his career was at a peak at NRG radio, Kiss 100 poached him and Kamene, as is a norm in the Kenyan media industry. However, NRG radio did not take it lightly since the management claimed it had invested heavily in branding the two hosts. The company sued the presenters, but the court eventually allowed them to work at Kiss 100, where Kibe remained until when he quit in 2020
However, Kamene termed him as a toxic work partner. She accused him of not doing his job diligently, and she had to work extra hard to cover for him.
He currently owns a YouTube channel where he criticizes celebrities. He also uses his platform to react to trending issues in the country. He recently reached a 100k subscribers mark, and many more people continue to subscribe.
Religion
Believe it or not, Kibe was a staunch Christian, or let’s say, brethren. I bet you have seen pictures of him carrying a bible in the company of Robert Burale, who is currently one of the renowned motivational speakers in the country.
At some point, Kibe has even joked that he was on his way to becoming a pastor, something he says he would have been good at.
In an interview with Dr. King’ori years back, he disclosed that his faith in Christianity subsided when he noticed that the church was full of hypocrites. He also narrated an occasion when he went to India but the Buddhists did not bother to convert him, as Christians do.
He currently claims that he does not believe in God, and he maintains a liberal mind.
Family (Wives and Children)
Men, this is for you! While the man is busy advising you not to be gentle to your women, just know he was once married. As a matter of fact, he married at a white church wedding!
His marriage ended shortly after he was wedded, and he blamed the church for pressuring him to marry the wrong person to paint the image of a churchly wedding.
To make the story juicer, Kibe is a father! In one of the shows with Kamene at Kiss, he revealed that he has a 12-year-old son whom he hasn’t seen for years. He claimed the mother of the child cut him off completely when he remarried his ex-wife.
Currently, Kibe is said to have a Mumama who is keeping him in the US. The mumama rumors were ignited by comedian Eric Omondi as a clap back to his criticism.
However, Kibe has repeatedly claimed that he would never reveal the identity of a woman she dating to the media.
