Netizens were puzzled by an Esther Arunga look-alike who was spotted during the tallying of Kibra by-election votes soon after the highly contested poll on Thursday.
The lady, who some likened to the former KTN journalist, stood beside MP-elect Benard Imran Okoth as he received his IEBC certificate indicating his win.
The lady has since been identified as Mr Okoth’s wife, Anne Ithara Okoth.
“I am very, very happy that my husband has won the parliamentary seat. I lack words to describe the exact feeling. However, I would like to express my gratitude to Kibra people for electing Imran.
“They are the bosses, and without them, then this win would not have been a win,” she stated while speaking to K24 on Thursday.
Mr Okoth has largely remained a mystery to the public, only emerging after his brother’s death in late July this year.
He is said to have served as the Late Ken Okoth’s personal assistant as well as the CDF chairman during the deceased’s tenure as MP.
