Governor Natembeya clears school fees for viral KMTC student, promises to get her a job

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has lauded the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) nurse who went viral for entertaining a sick child in a ward.

Natembeya hosted Elizabeth Robai Lukelesia on Tuesday evening at his office at the Trans Nzoia county headquarters to formally thank her for her gesture.

“I have pledged to offset her tuition fees for the remaining period of her studies, further ensure she gets an internship and finally be absorbed to serve as a pediatric nurse,” he said.

He added:

“Congratulations Elizabeth Robai your effort and dedication have paid off.”

The video clip shared widely on Twitter and Tik Tok shows Robai dancing to the kid’s song, Baby Shark.

The child, who was admitted to Kitale level IV hospital ward is seen trying to match the nurse’s moves with a wide smile.
