Governor Joseph Ole Lenku Rescue a 23-Year-Old Woman Stuck in Saudi Arabia for 8 Months
Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku has flown to Saudi Arabia to save a 23-year-old woman who was suffering in the country.
The county boss travelled all the way to the Middle East nation to rescue Lillian Rimanto who was stuck in Abu Dhabi for eight months.
According to a report by Taifa Leo, the young lady had travelled to the nation for a job as a house girl but things went south after her employer started mistreating her.
She had to find refuge in the homes of Kenyans who reside in Saudi Arabia after escaping from her torturous boss; she could not also return to the country as her travel documents had been confiscated.
“Sometimes, whenever I would fall sick, my boss and the family would make food and fail to offer so that I can be weak and die. I only survived through the grace of God,” she said after arriving in the country.
Ole Lenku to the rescue
Back home, the lady’s family appealed to the governor to help her as they were afraid of the worst.
Ole Lenku thus travelled to the Middle East nation to rescue the distraught woman. He bought her a plane ticket and she is now back home.
“Welcome home Lillian Rimanto, 23, and take courage from the troubles you experienced in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Your rogue employer will not see peace for confiscating your personal and travel documents and threatening your life,” the county boss said via his social media platforms.
