Francis Gachuri, the political editor for Citizen TV, left his position in front of the camera to work in communications for President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government.
According to reliable sources, Gachuri was appointed as the Head of Communications in the Ministry of Interior headed by Cabinet Secretary Professor Kithure Kindiki.
“Yes it’s true,” one of the sources who sought anonymity affirmed.
In an interview with Kenyans.co.ke, the Political Editor neither denied nor confirmed the appointment but maintained that he will release a statement at a later time.
In his new role, Gachuri will be responsible for creating, delivering and evaluating communication activities that lead to the effective positioning and promotion of trust within the Ministry.
He will also manage all internal and external communications channels within the Ministry of Interior and National Coordination.
