Form 3 Student stabs his father to death in Kericho

Form 3 Student has reportedly stabbed his father to death following a quarrel in Chilichila Ward, Kericho County.  Police says the suspect is under their custody..

Confirming the incident, Toroton chief Richard Koech said the 18-year-old boy killed his father using a Somali sword at Kapinguron village at around 9pm.

Sources indicate that the boy returned early from school that day, without any clear explanation to the parent.

This led to a quarrel when his father demanded the explanation, leading to a physical fight in which the boy stabbed the man in the stomach several times.

His body has been taken to St Vincent de Paul Mission Hospital mortuary in Muhoroni, Kisumu county.

After the incident, the boy fled but later turned himself in to Fort Ternan Police Station.
