Comic Eric Omondi has once again demonstrated his kindness and empathy by encouraging his followers to support a fellow artist who is in need.
Due to an enormous medical bill, gospel singer Mwana Mtule was reportedly confined to the Kenyatta hospital.
On Monday, Omondi used social media to ask his devoted fans, whom he refers to as Team Sisi kwa sisi, to make any contribution to help pay the debt and release the singer.
He uploaded a video of himself explaining Mwana Mtule’s situation while visiting him in the hospital.
“This guy has really gone through a lot. Team sisi kwa sisi I am pleading with you to help him. He was discharged about a month ago but he is being held here because of a pending bill of Ksh 450,000,” Eric wrote.
For those who wished to donate money, the comedian also provided the singer’s phone number.
He asked his followers to take quick action to make sure Mwana Mtule didn’t have to stay in the hospital for another night.
After nine hours, the comedian disclosed that they had received KSh 370,000 and only needed KSh 80,000 to reach the goal, thanks to the kind donations from his fans.
He urged his followers to continue sending in donations and thanked them for their generosity and kindness.
“KSh 70,000 to go! We are at KSh 370,000. He must not spend another night here again. Team sisi kwa sisi we are almost there!!! Keep Sending to,” he wrote.
By the end of yesternight, fans had raised over 425K towards the cause.
Mwana Mtule begs well-wishers to help him offset Ksh450K medical bill
Few days ago, Alpha Mwana Mtule pleaded with Kenyans to help him offset a Ksh450,000 hospital bill.
In his appeal to well-wishers, the musician while insisting that he was not duping the public, claimed that he could not wrap his head around how the medical bill accrued to Ksh450K even after he had paid Ksh 462K donated to him by well-wishers.
He, however, expressed gratitude to well-wishers who contributed the aforementioned amount and appealed to them to assist him once again to prevent the bill from adding up.

The artiste who was hospitalised in October this year recently opened up about the poisoning incident that left him in the state he is in.
In a Facebook Live session with fans, Mtule recounted that his body organs were affected after he was poisoned at an event in Rongai. At the time, the artiste said he was lured into the event and offered food.
“I don’t know why people resort to killing. I am out here hustling, then somebody -I don’t even want to mention their After I did that event I was given food then before going home, I was feeling. Weuh nerves zilikufa after …why are people jealous of others, someone poisoned me, ndio nini ifanyike? What were you hoping to gain? I was in such pain, I couldn’t feel parts of my body, ” he revealed.
While narrating his encounter, the artiste told off critics claiming that he was clout chasing for attention.
“Even us musicians pass through difficult moments and need help as well. Our music doesn’t just pick off, we do make money immediately, kwa ground ni kusurvive, so manze don’t take everything as ohh..” he added.
