Emmy Kosgei, a gospel singer, is thrilled that the United Democratic Party has nominated her father for the 13th parliament (UDA).
Bishop Jackson Kipkemoi Kosgei has been proposed as the National Assembly representative for people with disabilities.

The August House has nominated five UDA members, including Kosgei, who will hold office for the next five years.
Teresia Wanjiru Mwangi (youth), Abdisirat Khalif Ali (marginalized), Dorothy Muthoni Ikiara (worker), and Joseph Wainaina Iraya are other nominees from UDA (Worker).
Bishop Kosgei was one of the candidates vying for the Baringo senate seat in the general election in August, however he was eliminated after the nominations.
Bishop Jackson Kosgei presided over the Kenya Film Classification Board in the past.
The Orange Democratic Movement, on the other hand, has proposed three of its members for election to the National Assembly. Irene Nyakerario Mayaka, John Mbadi Ngomgo, and Umulkher Harun Mohamed are the three (Youth).
There will be one MP each for the Wiper Democratic Party, Jubilee Party, and Amani National Alliance.
Sabina Wanjiru Chege, a former representative for the ladies of Muranga, received her nomination from the Jubilee party, Suleka Hulbale Harun (Wiper), and Joseph Hamisi Denar (Amani National Congress).
