Legislator Jalang’o from Lang’ata has spoken out after being romantically linked to Diana Marua, Kevin Bahati’s wife in the music industry.
Diana caused a commotion when she revealed that she dated several guys who helped to support her opulent lifestyle.
“I used to date men for money at some point in my life. I dated guys for money and I had one who paid my rent, another did my house shopping and I had someone to buy me clothes and another to take me out,” she said.
Following her comments, old photos of Diana with well-known male celebrities, including Jalang’o, reappeared, sparking speculation that the two had dated.
Jalang’o was asked to comment on the situation and revealed that the image was taken more than ten years ago.
“That was taken more than ten years ago. My friend had a boutique at Jamia Mall, and Diana had come to buy clothes- she was already a superstar by then. She requested a photo, and I obliged.”
The former comic insisted that although they were close friends, he never dated the rapper Mubaba.
“I have never date Diana. She was my friend for the longest time. I feel sorry for Diana for what was posted between us,” he told Eve Mungai.
Jalang’o went on to criticize an online blogs for spreading the rumor.
“I saw they wrote a very funny caption on the photo. It is very sad and it really hurts when you just write something not knowing what someone is going through….I don’t take people to court.”
