Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen donned a Ksh1.4 million Hublot Classic Fusion Ceramic King Gold watch to a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, June 2.
According to reports, Hublot Classic Fusion Ceramic King Gold is manufactured in Switzerland by the popular luxury company Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) behind it.
The polished watch with black lined rubber is water resistant and can still function 50 meters under water (50ATM).
Murkomen’s watch comes in different sizes with the largest one – consisting of a diameter of 45 millimetres – valued at Ksh2 million.
“It has Satin-finished and polished 18k king gold with 6 H-shaped titanium screws,” the company details on its website.
In beating scrupulous companies who intend to replicate fake ones, the company insists that the alphabet should be spaced with unique precision.
The font used for the watch is also unique from other watches.
“To achieve its art of fashion, the manufacturer has its own Metallurgy and materials laboratory, working in close collaboration with the Research and Development department, as well as its own foundry.
“These innovative materials are created and manufactured using the latest technologies, unique in watchmaking and developed by Hublot,” Hublot details on its website.
Murkomen is among senior politicians who have been photographed with posh watch collections.
