Three arrested over murder of Star journalist Eric Oloo
Ugunja Police Station Deputy OCS Sabina Kerubo was on Thursday arrested after the body of Star journalist Eric Oloo was found in her house in Ugunja, Siaya County.
Ugunja OCPD Ibrahim Muchuma confirmed the arrest while revealing that two other suspects had been apprehended in connection to the murder.
OCPD Muchuma confirmed to reporters that Kerubo and the two other suspects are believed to have been in the room when Oloo died.
The police boss also confirmed that Oloo’s body had three deep cuts on the head at the time it was found.
Reports indicate that Kerubo and Oloo were lovers and had cohabiting for a prolonged period of time before his death.
Oloo caught Kerubo cheating twice
According to the deputy OCS’s neighbours, the journalist was murdered by one of Kerubo’s illicit lovers.
“Two weeks ago, he went to confront the said man in an unknown location where he was beaten up.
“When he came back on Wednesday night, he found Kerubo with yet another man at their house. When he tried to confront the man, he called his back up and beat him up to his death,” one neighbour told reporters.
