Dennis Itumbi, the Ministry of ICT and Digital Economy’s Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS), has reclaimed his Twitter account.

Itumbi stated that he had been locked out of the account for some time but had eventually defeated the hackers in a statement on Tuesday, April 4.
“I just beat the Hackers. They managed to lock me out for a while. I planted a flag of victory on their territory too. They will struggle to be back,” he stated.
This comes almost two weeks after Itumbi disclosed that hackers associated with cryptocurrency had tried to hack all his social media accounts before gaining access to Twitter.

The Ministry of ICT and digital economy CAS exuded confidence that he would eventually regain the account.
“As for my account, it shall be restored shortly, they tried my email, Instagram and FaceBook too, but I got them before they could. Brutal welcome and a clear message on Cyber Security.
For now Hackers 1 – Itumbi 0. In the fullness of time, that score will be something else,” he stated.
