The alleged deceased 67-year-old entered the company’s offices after the announcement was printed, confirming that it was untrue.

The media outlet said that it relied on inaccurate information provided to them in order to publish the death announcement.

Since Wakosasa and her family members were not involved in the publication of the notification, NMG regretted apologized to them.

“The company regrets the publication and wishes to apologise to Rosemary Wakosasa, the members of her family not involved in the publication of the notice and members of the public general for the inconvenience, shock and embarrassment that the false notification of death occasioned to them by this unfortunate occurrence,” the company said in an apology published in the paper on Thursday, November 17.Rosemary Wakosasa, her family members who were not involved in the publication of the notice, and members of the public are all recipients of an apology from the corporation for the publication.

Two obituaries are published by families in the same newspaper.

The family of the late David Njoroge Mwaura raised questions after paying thousands to publish two of his obituaries, each of which was different, in the same publication.

Mwaura had two spouses, Alice Nyambura and Eunice Wanjiku, according to death notices printed in the Daily Nation on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

However, each widow stated in the obituary that she was the first spouse of the dead, who passed away on August 19 following a brief illness.
The first notice stated that retired colonel Mwaura was married to Nyambura, while he asserted Wanjiku was his ex-wife.

The necrology stated that Mwaura, a former colonel, was married to Nyambura but insisted Wanjiku was his in the first notice.
