On November 2, Kennar departed the nation in order to travel with other African artists, notably radio host Kwambox.

The two Kenyan content producers Kwambox and Kennar were chosen by the massive online social platform to collaborate with Meta for an entire year as they expand their audiences and develop their interests into careers across Meta technologies.

The global effort, which began in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and will soon spread to additional nations, is the first of its kind.

The cooperation with the creators, according to Moon Baz, the lead for Meta’s creative partnership, will be beneficial for both increasing their audiences and giving them more business options.

“With this campaign, we aim to highlight creators who are innovating through tools such as Reels and short-form video content formats, as well as those who are leveraging, exploring new content formats such as AR/VR. We are excited to work closely with these creators, and we’re committed to help them grow their audience, build a business and unlock new possibilities for the future as we build for the metaverse,” stated Moon Baz, Meta’s Creator Partnerships Lead (Middle East, Africa and Turkey).

Other African creators Joining Kennar and Kwambox in London include:

Ruth Ronnie (Zambia)
Ruvarashe Hapaguti (Zimbabwe)
