The 14 candidates with scores ranging from 425 to 428 on the KCPE have been invited to attend national schools.
Magata Bruce Mackenzie, the best student in the country, will attend Alliance High School, as will George Morris Otieno, who received 425 KCPE marks.
George Morris took the national exam at the Hill School, whereas Bruce took it at Gilgil Hills Academy in Nakuru County.
Momanyi Ashley Kerubo, the best female applicant, was placed at Kenya High School after taking the KCPE exam at Makini School in Kibos and scoring 427 points. Wekesa Naomi Neema of White Star Academy, Nairobi (426 marks) and Kwoma Charity Buyanzi of Holy Family Misikhu Girls, Bungoma will join Kerubo in Kenya High School.

On Monday, April 11, the Education Ministry announced that 38,797 students had been assigned to national schools, 214,960 to extra-county schools, 218,456 to county schools, 726,311 to sub-county schools, 2,045 to special needs secondary schools, and 9,128 to refugee camp schools.
According to the Ministry of Education, 1,209,697 students were assigned to secondary schools. 1,214,031 people took the KCPE test in 2021. This indicates that despite Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha’s claim that 100% primary-to-secondary transfer was reached, 4,334 students took the exam but were not placed in secondary institutions.
