Over the Christmas holidays, the Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz took Zuchu on a romantic dinner date on Christmas day which sparked rumours that the two were dating. A number of gossip pages in Tanzania have shared videos and photos captured from the dinner date, with reports that the two could be in love.
It was just about time that Wasafi FM radio presenter Juma Lokole has confirmed that Diamond is indeed dating Zuchu.
Lokole, during an interview with another Tanzanian-based radio station on Wednesday, said the two superstars have been dating for over one month now.
“Mimi nawafahamisha Zuchu na Diamond kweli wana mahusiano…sasa hivi ni mwezi moja…wengi walikuwa wanajiuliza hii swali,” said Lokole.
On the other hand, Chibu Dangote put up a number of Insta-stories listening to “All I Want for Christmas is you” by Mariah Carey and Ed Sheeran’s perfect while on the dinner date.
Further reaffirming the rumors was fellow Wasafi records signee Rayvanny, who posted Zuchu’s photo on Instagram on December 30 and captioned it ‘shem’ (shemeji), meaning in-law.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Wasafi FM on January 10, Zuchu refuted the claims that she was dating her boss Diamond.
The ‘Sukari’ singer stated that she was single and had been for a whole year.
She further stated that she was not interested in any relationship because she was waiting for the right time.
“I am single; I have been single actually for a very long time. Been single for about a year. Most relationships that you rush into do not end up well. I am waiting for the right time and I will date but as for now, I am not interested,” she said then.
