Citizen TV news anchor Lulu Hassan has won the Best Movie/Series Producer of the year in Africa at the 2022 ZIKOMO Awards.
The 2022 Gala for the international Awards was held in Zambia on Saturday. A thankful Lulu shared the good news via her socials, thanking her fans and followers for voting for her.
The Award was picked by sports journalist Caren Kibbett who graced the gala in Zambia.
The Citizen TV Swahili news anchor won the award through her work at Jiff Pictures – a Production company she co-founded with her husband Rashid Abdalla.

On the other hand, KBC sports anchor Karen Kibbett won the award for Best TV Personality of the year at the recently concluded Zikomo Awards held in Zambia.
She dedicated the award to her mother whom she described as her biggest support system in her journalism career.
“We brought it home Fam 🙏🇰🇪. I dedicate this award to my family especially my Mum @kechmilka without whom, I would not be here today. Your painstaking personal sacrifices have paid off,” Kibett said in part.
She also appreciated her boss at KBC with a message that says; “To my Great Boss, Mr. Samuel Maina, Wonderful colleagues, Kenya sports fraternity, I’m forever grateful and eternally indebted to you for the lessons and believing in me. I salute you!
She continued; “To the ever-patient, probing, and loving viewers in Kenya and beyond, who have welcomed me to their living rooms and social spaces invited, I can’t thank you enough. God bless you. I promise to scale up the sterling standards of sports journalism. Thank you Zikomo Awards for honoring me 🙏 @zikomoawards,”.
