Former BBC journalist Ciku Muiruri has shared the tragic news of her kidnapped daughter on her Facebook page on Sunday, June 4.
Ciku began a lengthy post by asking her followers to pray for her daughter. She continued by saying that a taxi driver had kidnapped her daughter and her friend on Sunday around 2 a.m.
“I’m going to do everything in my power to get her home safely but I know that we cannot even tie our shoes without God’s grace,” Ciku wrote.
In her subsequent post, she expressed her agony over not knowing what the kidnappers were doing to her daughter or whether she would ever see her again.
She underscored that only God could save her from this dire circumstance.
“We know that prayers can move mountains. Stop wars. Please pray for my daughter Erica Njeri and her friend Shanice Agose as part of your intentions,” Ciku wrote.
In her message, Ciku also requested prayers for the souls of the individuals who abducted her daughter and her companion.
Ciku sincerely begged God to shield her daughter from any harm and expressed her faith that her daughter would come home safe and sound.
