Bridget Shighadi, a Kenyan actress and creator of online material, has acknowledged that her brief relationship with producer and director Nick Mutuma ended.
The single mother of one reaffirmed her status as single in a Q&A on her Instagram stories.
The actress ignited split rumors last year when she traveled to Dubai to celebrate her 31st birthday and Nick was conspicuously absent.
When asked about the state of his relationship with Shighadi during the debut of the Guinness Black Shine Brightest Stories Series, Mutuma declined to respond.
“Tonight is all about Black Shine Brightest Stories which has been the most hyped project. I don’t need to ruin the night commenting about my personal life,” he said.
When probed about his family, Nick replied coolly that his family was okay.
“My family is okay, the baby is okay. No further comment,” he said.
In an interview in 2021, Bridget revealed that she met the actor right after high school while noting that he was the first man in her life.
The actress also disclosed that their relationship wasn’t always consistent as they were on and off.
The actress also revealed that despite being on and off they decided to move in to raise their daughter Dua, while deciding to stick together.
“Nick is someone I have known for long. He was the first person I knew after high school. It has been on and off but since the baby, we have been together for three years,” she revealed.
“But before mtoto it was on and off and yes, sai tunaishi pamoja (Yes we live together),” she said.
The Maria actress further stated that their relationship was official and the parents knew each other citing that the only thing remaining was to tie the knot.
“It is official now, labda harusi tu ndio imebaki; wazazi wanajuana na pia ashatoa fine ya mtoto but sasa tunangoja ile official mahari, but we are taking our time hatuna haraka,” she revealed.
