Early on Sunday, June 26, Embakasi East Babu Owino was confronted by a sobbing woman who caused him to pause in the middle of his address.
When the woman approached Babu and knelt down, weeping that she lacked the money to pay her rent and was also hungry, he was addressing the people.
In the touching video posted on social media, Babu asked the woman what was upsetting her, and she responded that she was having financial difficulties. Babu seems sympathetic to the woman’s problems.
She sobbed, “My house was locked and I am sleeping outside and I am very hungry.”
After giving the distraught woman some money, which was observed coming from Babu’s pocket, she was seen going back to the crowd.
After assisting the woman, the MP said, “The woman had some challenges with rent and food now let her go and buy some food.”
