Businesswoman and musician Akothee has taken to social media to take her fans through the pain of going through divorce.
According to Akothee, for any couple undergoing through the process, it is a more painful experience than death.
Quoting Page 33 of her new book, Akothee said:

Its easier said than done , Divorce is worse than death , especially when children are involved. When you lose a loved one , you mourn you are broken once for the lose , you hurt you miss them ,and with time you heal! You start learning how to live without them 💪
But with divorce where children are involved , if you don’t choose your battle wisely , you will be broken daily , buried daily , hurt daily as the kids grow, forget living for a moment.
Breaking up with a loved one leaving you behind with his / her copies is not something you can deal with in 3/ 4 years, this takes TIME. . If you have to divorce or break up , do it descently, you are not the first or last ,people survived We are with you in prayers 🙏 Goodmorning and Have a blessed week,” she wrote.
Akothee opens on divorcing with ex-hubby Jared Okello
According to Madam Boss, it took her 6 years to move on from her first failed marriage, something that was not easy to do basing on the fact that there were kids involved.
The singer made the revelation after linking up with her ex-hubby Jared Okello for the celebration of their daughter Vesha Okollo’s graduation party.
She added that healing from a failed relationship is painful, but it helps when you see your ex-partner as friend, parent and not an enemy.

Akothee’s break up
Last week Akothee and her lover Nelly Oaks broke up. Akothee even went as far as deleting the images she had previously posted of herself with Nelly when they were together.
The couple who had been singing each other’s praises for close to a year seems to have reached an end as far as their relationship goes.
Kenyans have reacted to the news with a mixture of surprise and indifference considering that this is indeed Nairobi, the city where break-ups are as common as corruption.
Some others meanwhile wondered whether it was a cheap celebrity stunt, something that we still can’t be sure of until the two speak themselves.
The mother of five announced the breakup on April 21, 2022, in a post on social media. She said that Nelly Oaks had dumped her.
“Nimeaachwa imagine I am single again. Hii relationship usichukulie personal,” wrote Akothee.
