A man has amused internet users by pretending to be Diamond Platnumz’s lookalike.
A Zambian known only as Virus has made the amusing assertion that he looks like Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz.
In a video shared online, the short dreadlocked man known as Virus also mentioned Harmonize, a former Wasafi Records signee.
Virus tried to emulate Wasafi, the Tanzanian record label’s catchphrase, but mispronounced it, eliciting a witty response from online users.
He is quoted as saying: “Waaasafiiii, wasafi records Harmonize in the biu bui.”
The TikTok video received comments from online users and below are some.

Doppelganger
Some years ago, we were introduced to another Kenyan man from Mtwapa, Mombasa who resembles Diamond Platnumz.
Patrick Mabeya, a boda boda rider who bears a striking likeness to the ‘Sikomi’ hitmaker, was simply an ordinary boda boda rider trying to make a living.
Patrick had barely gotten used to his fifteen minutes of fame when another Diamond impersonator appeared.
Alfarsy Kibwana, the singer’s real name, lives in Mombasa, Kenya, where he has been attempting to make a living as a musician.
