Kenyans have come out in large numbers to laud a lady-cop who handled a dramatic man outside parliament during the viewing of President Kibaki’s body in a motherly manner, contrary to the usual police brutality that has been witnessed numerous times.
It is interesting how drama never ceases among Kenyans even when the country is mourning the death of its third president Mwai Kibaki.
Earlier today, Kenyans who went to the public to view the body of President Kibaki were treated to a free ‘sinema’ of a dramatic man who was crying to be given a chance to view the body.
According to the man’s howls, he had been beaten by police officers who denied him entry into Parliament.
The man decided to take his drama to the next level by removing his shirt while wailing very loudly.
“Ohh my God! Just give the opportunity please! Give me the chance to look for the body. I need to see him. He has been my president for long,” went his cries.
The police officers (male) had a tough time calming the man, and they could be seen getting irritated slowly.
It took the lady-cop to calm the man as she treated her like how a mother would treat her son.
In the video shared by Citizen Tv on YouTube, the woman is seen helping the man dress his shirt. She also tells him kindly to zip up his trousers as she pleads with him to calm down.
“I want you to calm down ndiyo nikupeleke ndani, tulia,” she could be heard telling the man who nods in agreement.
For Kenyans, the lady-cop acted in a very mature manner. They suggested the woman be promoted to a higher position for exhibiting such exquisite conduct.
One Sarah Shibonje commented, “A mother is always a mother no matter what, I just love the she is comforting him. Wow!! You are one in a million, kudos!”
Cindy W. said, “This lady is like the UK and US police. May God bless this lady for she respected this man. God bless her.”
Classic Touch wrote, “Kudos to the lady, a mother is always a mother.”
Bree Kim noted, “Kudos to that lady aki she is just a mom, I love her.
