Kenyan women are considered to be the best to date in Africa.
However, Sierra Leonian basketball star IB Kabba could be having a different experience after dating Kenyan socialite Amber Ray.
Their relationship ended before it started, and it came into the limelight after an infamous video of them having an altercation in a club went viral.
The video shocked netizens as Amber had come from a dramatic relationship with Jamal Roho Safi, who had married her as his second wife after Amira. Netizens wondered how the damsel had moved on from a relationship she had fought so hard to keep despite a lot of attacks from netizens and Jamal’s family.
Luckily for the curious netizens, IB Kabba has finally come out to spill beans about his relationship with Amber.
In an interview with SPM Buzz, he disclosed that he had been dating Amber for several months, including when Amber was involved with Jamal. He, however, claimed he was unsure whether Amber double-delt him and Jamal.
“I did no know if she was dating that guy (Jamal), I cannot say anything about that,” he said.
Regarding the infamous video, IB Kabba revealed that he had gone to the club for Amber, but she did not want to leave the club. He said that he snatched Amber’s phone but returned it later because he wanted to solve their issue.
He explained, “I feel like I went there for you and then all over sudden you don’t want to leave, I took her phone, I ended up giving her back the phone, I know what I did was wrong but I wanted to fix things.”
Amidst the video making rounds on the internet, Amber accused IB Kabba of beating her when the altercation, something which he denied vehemently.
IB Kabba kept saying that he would never hit a woman.
“One thing I would like to state is that I would never beat a woman,” he stated.
He disclosed that his friends had warned him about Amber, but he never pay attention to the warnings, a decision he claims he regrets. He claimed that he would have never been involved with Amber if he had known her traits as exposed on the social media streets.
“People told me a few things about her and told me to search online for her stories but I was not that kind of person to do that, but if I did, I would have been more careful.” he explained.
Surprisingly, IB Kabba still thinks he can date a Kenyan after his bad experience with Amber.
“Just because someone wronged me, does not mean all Kenyan ladies are bad,” he noted.
