Yesterday, Safina party National Delegates Convention formally endorsed businessman and politician Jimi Wanjigi to be it’s presidential flag bearer.
“I Jimi Richard Wanjigi do accept to be Safina party presidential candidate for the General elections scheduled for 9th August 2022.I will protect the moral conduct of the party in the campaign and governance, so help me God,” said Jimi Wanjigi while accepting the endorsement.
Deputy President William Ruto among other key leaders graced the occasion. Majority of them in attendance were given an opportunity to speak.
What caught many people’s eyes was Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi’s speech. When he took to the podium to address the delegates, he lectured delegates to stop speaking a lot of English, urging them to speak about economic revolution that will put money in the pockets of Kenyans without too much English.
“Punguzeni Hii Kingereza Yenu,” Sudi stated.

According to Oscar Sudi, the presidential apsirants should be coming up with ideas on how they will put their English to actions that will deliver an economic stimulus for Kenyans to have money in their pockets.
He said this, implying that there are Kenyans among the delegates who are worried about feeding their families. He went on to say that it is past time for the delegates to devise strategies to turn their English into action so that Kenyans can have something to eat.
