DP Ruto, Orengo lead Kenyans in mourning Mzee Kibor

Deputy President William Ruto has led other leaders to mourn the prominent Eldoret based businessman and politician Jackson Kibor who died on Wednesday night aged 88.

Kibor has been popularly celebrated as the chairman of the ‘Men’s Conference’ due to his controversial marriage life and many people have always referred to his lifestyle as an example.

DP Ruto mourned him as a firm, industrious and vocal on issues he believed in.

“Our love and prayers to the family and friends of Mzee Jackson Kibor at this time of grief. Mzee was firm, industrious and vocal on issues he believed in. Rest In Peace Mzee Kibor,” said Ruto.
Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has mourned him Mzee Kibor as a hardworking, visionary and vocal politician.
“Mzee Jackson Kibor will be greatly remembered as a hardworking, visionary and vocal politician cum businessman. He would speak up his mind without fear or favour. I take this opportunity to pass my sincere condolences to the family over the untimely loss of my friend Kibor. Rest in eternal peace Chairman,” stated Sudi.

On the other hand, Nominated MP David Ole Sankok hailed Mzee Kibor as a great farmer who has flown in golden chariots, adding that he was a smart businessman who utilized his energy when he was young to build himself an empire.
“Today is a sad day, A great man is no more, A great entrepreneur is no more with us, A great farmer has flown in golden chariots, A great chairman of men’s conference is dead, A man who toiled in his heydays, A man who utilized his energy when he was young to build himself an empire. Jackson Kibor was a smart businessman…” reads part of Sankok’s statement.
Siaya Senator James Orengo also joined Kenyans in comforting the family of Mzee Kibor.
Orengo writes: “My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Jackson Kibor. Sometimes controversial but Mzee Kibor was a patriot. He once gave me cover when I was completely surrounded by the riot police in Eldoret. May His Soul rest in eternal peace.”

Mzee Kibor’s death

Jackson Kiprotich Kibor passed away yesterday at St Luke’s hospital in Eldoret, according to his family.

He passed away at the age of 89.

Some years ago, Jackson Kiprotich Kibor stated that he was ready to die.

Kibor told the Star in an exclusive interview that he was ready to die after having the most chaotic and satisfying life he could. He claimed to have seen and done everything.

“I have done all that I could and in the best way possible. I guess no one can say I am a bad person and when God takes me away any time I will have no regrets,” Kibor said.
