Kenyan content creator and digital influencer Georgina Njenga has once again stirred the pot on social media, this time with a brutally honest confession about her love life — specifically, her role as a provider in two of her past relationships.
Taking part in the viral “Bar Was So Low” challenge on Instagram Stories, Georgina revealed that in two of her previous relationships, she found herself footing the bills — something she now regrets.
“I’m listening to the ‘bar was so low’ challenges and I’m like… if I speak, you will all hit me,” she wrote.
“The bar was too low for me. Like in two of my relationships, I can give you the story and you’d wonder what was wrong with me. Is she okay in the head? I can’t believe I was providing in two of my relationships. Never again.”
While she didn’t drop names, fans didn’t need a magnifying glass to connect the dots.
Her Tumultuous Relationship with Tyler Mbaya (Baha)
Georgina’s most public relationship was with former “Machachari” actor Tyler Mbaya, popularly known as Baha. The two quickly rose to social media couple goals status in 2022, even welcoming a daughter together. But behind the cute couple content was a rocky relationship filled with financial woes and drama.
In 2023, Georgina claimed that she had been paying all the bills while living with Baha, even alleging that he was addicted to online gambling.
“I was doing everything financially… rent, food, baby stuff — everything. All while he spent time betting,” she said in an earlier interview, sparking public backlash against the former child star.
That same year, Baha was accused by a U.S.-based Kenyan woman of scamming her out of money after he allegedly lied about Georgina being hospitalized and needing urgent funds. Georgina later confirmed she had nothing to do with the scam, distancing herself from the mess.
Silent Split from Prince Newton
Before dating Baha, Georgina was rumoured to have dated YouTuber Prince Newton, though the relationship was largely kept under wraps. However, online sleuths noticed their frequent interactions in 2020, which mysteriously fizzled out around the time she started appearing with Baha.
While no scandal was tied to this relationship, fans suspect it may have been one of the two she referred to when talking about “providing” for her men.
Now focused on co-parenting and growing her content empire, Georgina is clearly in a different phase of life. Her message to her younger self — and perhaps to other young women — is loud and clear:
