Popular content creator and YouTuber 2Mbili has stepped forward in support of embattled car dealer Khalif Kairo, urging Kenyans of goodwill to join hands in helping raise funds for his bail.
Kairo, known for his flashy car dealership business and regular appearances on 2Mbili’s YouTube channel, was recently arrested and is currently in remand. The court has set his bail at Sh2 million—a figure the online personality believes the public can help settle.
Taking to his social media platforms, 2Mbili expressed his concern and loyalty to Kairo, calling on fans and supporters to focus on the positive impact the entrepreneur has made in the automotive scene.
“I stand with Khalif Kairo! I’m trying to find ways we can help raise his bail. If anyone close to him sees this, please reach out so we can coordinate,” he posted.
According to 2Mbili, Kairo has inspired countless young Kenyans through his hustle and passion for cars, and this moment is an opportunity for the same community to give back.
He proposed a fundraising idea to gather part of the required amount: if Kairo can raise Sh1 million from his end, the public could contribute the remaining Sh1 million.
“This is very serious. I wanted to share this yesterday, but it was April Fool’s, so I held off. Kairo has played a big role in building Kenya’s car enthusiast culture. If each person gave just ten bob, we could hit our target. Every coin matters,” 2Mbili explained.
To achieve a Sh1 million goal through Sh10 contributions, at least 100,000 individuals would need to participate. The content creator mentioned he is currently working to connect with Kairo’s family to set up a secure paybill number, allowing willing Kenyans to contribute directly.
Kairo’s arrest has stirred mixed reactions online, but 2Mbili is among those urging the public not to judge too quickly and instead rally behind a man who has, over the years, motivated many to dream bigger.
As the story continues to unfold, many will be watching closely—both to see how the legal case develops and whether the digital community can once again mobilize for a cause greater than content.
