On February 14th, while lovebirds across the globe exchange roses and chocolates, Sarah Mtalii will be boarding a flight to Malaysia—accompanied by none other than her lawyer, Peter Mwenda Njagi.
But before you jump to conclusions, Sarah insists, “It’s strictly business.”
The businesswoman, entrepreneur, and mother of two made headlines when she revealed her travel plans during an interview with Hot 96.
According to her, the trip is part of an empowerment initiative under her new foundation, The Virtuous Woman.
“This time it’s under my new brand, and it’s a group award, I’ve gotten it because of women empowerment under a new foundation I am doing to empower women. It’s on the 14th of February in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.”

However, what raised eyebrows was the choice of a travel companion.
“I think I will go with my lawyer. We will be staying in different hotels. He is now my strategic business development partner,” she clarified, perhaps anticipating curious minds would speculate otherwise.
Now, let’s break this down.
Peter Mwenda Njagi is no ordinary lawyer. He is handling Sarah’s divorce from her estranged husband, Simon Kabu.
Not only that, but he’s also her strategic business development partner and—by Sarah’s own admission—her “number one cheerleader.”
A lawyer who’s also a business partner? And a cheerleader? Interesting.
“He is a very good friend of mine and for us women, it is always good to have a support system because right now to be frank, he is my strength I go through a lot of situations and sometimes I feel like I have no strength but he comes through for me and does whatever needs to be done. He is my number-one cheerleader,” Sarah said, painting a picture of a knight in shining armor (or perhaps a well-tailored suit).
While some might wonder if Cupid is secretly working overtime in the background, Peter was quick to put an end to any rumors.
“It’s just work,” he said with a composed smile. “I am humbled by those compliments. Every successful personality needs a support system.”
But let’s be honest. A Valentine’s Day trip to Malaysia with a supportive, ever-present business partner? That’s enough to keep social media detectives working overtime.
So, as Sarah and Peter jet off to Kuala Lumpur, one thing is certain—whether it’s law, love, or just pure business, this dynamic duo is giving Kenyans something to talk about.
