Diana Marua Shares Emotional Moment as Son Morgan Returns to School

Award-winning YouTuber and content creator Diana Marua recently shared heartfelt moments as her son, Morgan Bahati, returned to school after the December holidays.

Marua expressed how difficult it was to say goodbye, reflecting on the bond they shared during the festive season.

“The hardest part is saying goodbye 🥹. We never thought this day would come by so soon after spending the best holiday together,” Marua wrote on social media. She also shared her pride in Morgan, who will be completing junior secondary school this year.

“I can’t believe my son @morgan_bahati will be finishing junior secondary this year. God has been and still is Faithful 🙏,” she added.

Encouraging her son, Marua said, “My Baby, as we do our part, go make us Proud. Keep us in your Prayers and May God keep us to see the fruits of your hard work ❤️.”

Her husband, singer Bahati, also showed support for Morgan by sharing his own message on social media. “I wish My Son Success as he leaves for school. Let me see something; were you in BOARDING or DAY SCHOOL??? 😎,” he humorously wrote, while expressing admiration for Morgan: “2nd Slide… I have started to look up to @Morgan_Bahati 😀.”

The family moments come as schools across Kenya reopened on Monday, January 6, 2025, for the new academic year. According to Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba, Term One of 2025 will span 13 weeks, including a five-day mid-term break.

“Following the end of the Christmas and New Year festivities, basic education institutions are shortly set to commence the 2025 Academic Year,” stated the Ministry of Education. The Ministry also confirmed that field officers, led by Regional and County Directors of Education, would oversee adherence to the academic calendar.

Additionally, the pioneer cohort of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) is set to transition to Grade 9 this term, marking another milestone in Kenya’s education reforms.
