Veteran media personality Kamene Goro has appeared to address recent accusations from three former colleagues, who portrayed her as a “two-faced mean girl” who supposedly offers encouragement to rising talent in the industry but ultimately does not support them as she claims.
“First off let me put on some lip balm lest they say my lips are dry,” started off the radio host clearly taking a jab at someone in a video shared on her Instagram page showing a highlight of her live on air.
Kamene went on to add, “One thing I’ve come to learn over the years is that the less that is out there, the better. This can go across the board with a whole lot of things but I want to bring it down to your personal life as well as where you are at in life.
The less people know, the better also at the same time you give people less ammunition to use against you… I’ve said this time and time again not everything requires your response, okay?”
She went on to share an analogy of a boxing match pointing out without an opponent nothing would transpire.
“There is no boxing match if there is only one person is in the ring. Sometimes, learn to be the person who is not in the ring because then you can avoid that bad ordeal,” Kamene said in part adding, “you find someone coming to you talking bad, you don’t have to engage them. At the same time, there is a saying that says ‘don’t ever argue with a fool because they’ll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience,”
Finishing up the former TV host in part added, “It’ll help you not to look like your troubles. No matter what, never ever will I walk the world looking like my struggles. I walk looking like nimekosana na mtu? Nijikute.
At the heart of it all baby girl, respect yourself enough to put yourself on a pedestal…. jiheshimu sometimes, to not be a part of some things or party to some things. But at the same time, as a baby girl who is arguing with a fool? And you can take that to the bank!”
Captioning the post the night club host wrote, “There cannot be a fight with one person in the ring baby girl,”
A few days ago, 3 of her colleagues (who all recently quit the station where Kamene currently works) went on a TikTok live where they shared their terrible experiences working around the radio host.
One of them went as far as accusing Kamene of sabotaging King Kalala’s career instead of mentoring her as directed.
