The extra three months of training for twenty-three General Service Unit (GSU) graduates who raised a stir online with their graduation video have finally graduated and ready for redeployment.
The policemen had been chastised by being sent back to boot camp at the rigorous GSU Magadi Field Training Center in Kajiado County after being caught on camera swearing to be merciless.
The group has been placed on leave while its superior officers decide whether or not to deploy them.
After a three-month retraining period, GSU grads who were behind the viral ‘threats’ video were placed on leave.

The National Police Service (NPS) issued a statement in December denouncing policemen from the General Service Unit (GSU) who were seen in the viral video.
Their comments were seen as reckless and irresponsible, and they did not help the situation.
Their actions infuriated Kenyans who had been victims of police brutality in the previous two years.
The behavior seen in the viral video is inappropriate, according to NPS, and appropriate steps will be taken against the grads.
“Attention of the NPS is drawn to a video clip circulating on social media depicting newly graduated GSU officers recording themselves as they make some irresponsible and reckless remarks. We wish to clarify and assure the public that the behaviour portrayed in the clip is not acceptable and does not reflect the values of the GSU, KPS and the NPS.
“All graduands went through a rigorous value-based training modelled on democratic policing principles and designed to make them responsive and responsible officers of the law at the service of citizens,” reads part of the statement.
The sentiments made in the video, according to NPS, are reprehensible and must be denounced.
“The oath of allegiance they took as part of their graduation is a testament to the sanctity of their duty to serve. The remarks as made in the clip are therefore regrettable and stand condemned.
“An internal review is ongoing with a view of preferring appropriate measures regarding the incident. GSU is renowned for its focused training aimed at producing highly disciplined and responsible officers,” the statement read.
