On his Instagram, musician Diamond Platinumz wrote a heartfelt message to his mother in honor of her birthday.
The singer reflected on some of the experiences they shared as children and how his mother inspires him.
He shared a photo of him and his mother sitting in the house from one of his childhood snapshots.
In his message, he recalled the moment he first promised his mother that he would work hard to succeed in order to build a salon for her when they were leaving her place of employment.
“….Usijali mama Kuna siku nitatoboa kwenye mziki na nitakufungulia na wewe Saloon yako”…Vyote naweza visahau lakini maneno haya siwezi yasahau….”
The Bongo artiste then went ahead to express his love and admiration for his mother and that he can’t forget how she has struggled for him.
“…Nakupenda na Nakuheshimu sana, na siku zote ujue kwamba wewe ndio sababu ya mimi Kupambana usiku na mchana ili kuhakikisha unapata furaha ambayo uliikosa kwa muda mrefu…”
Few months ago, Sandra Dangote, mother to Diamond Platnumz hinted his wealth might be registered under her name.
The hint came hot on the heels of social media buzz about Moroccan player Achraf Hakimi who despite earning millions was discovered to be owning nothing.
The player has registered all his wealth under his mum’s name. His mother is even the beneficiary of his salary.
This emerged after his wife Hiba Abouk filed for divorce after her husband was accused of allegedly raping someone.
In apparent reaction to the matter, Mama Dangote took to her socials stating the singer was her best friend even as she likened him to Hakimi.
“Best yangu wa ukweli 💙 Naseeb kichwa @DiamondPlatnumz 🦁 Hakimi” Posted Diamond’s mum
In response to the message, Diamond responded:
“Mama Lion Kichwa ❤️”
Diamond’s sister Esma seemed to endorse the speculation by captioning
” Hakimi na mama hakimi.”
It is no secret that the mother-son duo has always been close thus it would come as no surprise.
Diamond on the hand has dated many women.
He has several kids with different women among them, Zari Hassan
According to a report by Morocco World News in June, the Paris Saint-Germain player is the sixth highest-paid African footballer, earning more than $215,000 per week.
Hakimi is facing preliminary charges of rape after a 24-year-old woman accused him of rape in February.
Police opened an investigation into the matter even though the alleged victim told them that she only wanted to “make a statement of rape,” without filing an official complaint.
