“Sitakukalia” – Dorea Chege apologizes to fiancée after claiming she loves ‘broke men’
Dorea Chege, a Kenyan actress, has apologized to her fiancé DJ Dibul for publicly declaring that she enjoys dating men who earn less than she does.
In a video, the Maria actress stated that her comments nearly ended her “marriage.”
“I am very sorry babe for the statement I made. Please forgive me,” Dorea said in one of the interviews.
Dorea made news when she confessed on live television that she enjoys dating men who make less than she does so that she may maintain control.
She was asked her deal breaker in a relationship on an episode of Season 2 of the show ‘Mr. Right,’ hosted by Dr. Ofweneke and Diana Marua.

She responded that, “Number one, if he is broke! Not that I love his money since I have my money, but I also want to be above him. I love controlling,” she stated.
The statement sparked mixed reactions among viewers, with some questioning Dorea’s preference for financial superiority in a relationship.
However, she regretted making the statement because to her it showed disrespect to her lover.
“You know there are statements you say in public without knowing the impact they have on other people. So baby I am sorry and I acknowledge my mistake and I own up.”
