A video of former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko displaying wads of money and Kenyan notes on social media has stunned many Kenyans and set tongues churning.
The former county chairman, who appeared to be responding to someone who had irritated him, flaunted his wealth, with wads of cash piled in bags in his home.
In the video, the flashy politician unzipped luggage and began releasing dollars of unknown value and, moments later, wads of Kenyan notes, which he claimed were KSh 2 million.
Many people on Twitter were perplexed when he mentioned the money was his “pocket money.”
In the video, he is seen repeatedly informing his receiver that he has a lot of money and no need for anything.
