Comedian Eric Omondi has come to the rescue of five women who were detained at Pumwani Maternity Hospital for failing to pay their hospital fees, after delivery.
According to reports, five patients at Pumwani Maternity were being held up by unpaid hospital fees. After giving delivery, they were all in good health and prepared to return home.

The comedian-turned-activist pleaded with the government to assist and make the situation a priority in an Instagram post.
He strongly criticized the government for the creation of more jobs for well-off people giving an example of Kidero.
“We have released 5 New Mothers who had been detained at Pumwani Maternity. Mr. President before you pay 50 CACs Sillions of Shillings before the Government buys brand new cars for the Executive, PLEASE make an order for all Mothers detained at Pumwani and across the country to be released.”
Adding:
“Ulisema Serikali ni ya Mama mboga na Boda Boda. Watu wa boda boda wako Jela na mama mboga amefungiwa Pumwani.”

The funnyman made a stopover at a petrol station where he paid for fuel for the riders who brought business at the energy station to a standstill.
The riders happily haggled to be served first as the petrol station attendant attempted to make the riders queue for fast services.
