“Hypocrites! Mlikuwa wapi?” – TV Presenter blasts mourners praising Kasavuli on her burial

Wambui Wa Muturi, a TV anchor, has blasted the mourners who had flocked to Catherine Kasavuli’s funeral service to pay their respects.

Wambui wonders where the thousands of people who are now coming up to congratulate the iconic media personality were when her family needed money for her medication.

In a social media post, the TV personality referred to the mourning as hypocrites who have only come forward because the country’s attention is focused on the event.

“Living in very hypocritical times! Thinking out loud; all these great people attending Kasavuli’s burial walikuwa wapi when it was even hard for her to afford treatment?” she questioned.

Her feelings are similar to those of businesswoman Sasha Seraphine Mbote, who recently chastised local politicians for appearing to care about the iconic newscaster by sending condolences.

Sasha claims that the leaders abandoned the media personality when she required money for medicine, only to reappearance after her death.

The Kenyan woman from Zanzibar also questioned why the same officials watch individuals suffer from grave illnesses while delaying policies to assure better healthcare.
