Jackie Nyaminde grew up in Nairobi West, Lang’ata and Rongai and she is the first born in a family of six. She attended Kongoni and Uhuru Gardens Primary Schools in Nairobi for her primary education and Koru Girls’ High School .
She is popularly known as Wilbroda a.k.a Awillo. She acts in a popular television show known as Papa Shrandula.
She is also a co-host at Citizen Radio morning program called Jambo Kenya.
Her use of broken Kiswahili accent has made her a hilarious character in the play.
In the play, she acts as wife to Papa Shrandula, who is a watchman at Juma Anderson’s office. Her character comes out well as she mirrors the life of city housewives living in slums.

She is a single mother
She is not yet married but luckily, she is blessed with a five years old son called Xolani Amin Okello. She admits challenges facing single mothers, especially in this society where single mothers are yet to be culturally embraced.
She wanted to be a musician
Being in the music industry was her ambition. She claims to be still passionate about music. Some of the musicians she adores include Erick Wainaina, Idi Achieng and Olith Ratego.
She is the first born in their family of six
She was born and raised in Nairobi West, and later lived in Langata and Rongai. She was born and raised in a middle class family.
She loves African dishes
Her favorite meals are, *kuku ya kienyeji*,* aliya*(nyama choma),*omena* and *mboga ya kienyeji*. She loves cooking and watching food channels. She hates broiler chicken and admits she would not eat it claiming that once she read that some are injected with ARVs.
She was not interested in taking up the role of Wilbroda in Papa Shrandulas play
Being Papa’s wife, Luo housewife married to Luhya watchman was a hard nut to crack at first, but following persuasion from Charles Bukeko a.k.a Papa Shrandula, she took up the task.
At the moment, it has become part of her life.
She is an alumnus of Koru Girls Secondary School
The school is situated in Muhoroni Constituency Kisumu County.
She had been there on several occasion to deliver speeches on how young girls should embrace modesty and reduce society rot. She took her primary education at Kongoni and Uhuru Gardens Primary School.
Her ambition is to establish an orphanage
She is so passionate about children and she cannot wait to see herself starting an orphanage to host the less fortunate children. She claims that herself and children are
inseparable.
Wilbroda would love a responsible man
Somebody who can take care of her son as a dad, and give him direction. Somebody who can share cost in the house. She do not like men who date ladies solely for intimate satisfaction and then abandons them.
Her grandmother is her role model
In an interview with NTV Trend ,she admits that her style of acting was borrowed from her granny. Talking style and walking style are all the she copied from the grandmother.
Her style is African authentic
She loves afro hairstyle which she claims is easier to maintain. she also love African clothes because they are free size and comfortable.
She do not like ladies who strain their their comfort in tight clothes.
