On Saturday, Deputy President William Ruto took advantage of his workout routine and raced to catch a jet at Wilson Airport so he could attend a closing rally in Kiambu.
At Kiambu’s Kirigiti stadium, the Kenya Kwanza coalition was scheduled to wrap up their campaign.

The Election Act mandates that candidates hold their final campaign events 48 hours before voting day. The cutoff time is 6 pm.
Ruto headed straight to the airport following the gathering at Nyayo Stadium in an effort to get to Kiambu before the deadline.
In a video posted on social media, the DP can be seen rushing for a waiting helicopter while racing along the runway.
The DP had a full day because he had earlier that morning led the Kenya Kwanza principals in a press conference at Karen before traveling to Narok County.
After that, the Kenya Kwanza caravan returned to Nairobi, stopping at Nyayo stadium for the important gathering.
