After twenty years of service, veteran Kameme TV broadcaster Jeff Njoroge has left Mediamax Limited.
Speaking on the Tempire YouTube Channel, Njoroge explained that his departure from the organization came as a result of his desire to grow and pursue opportunities to acquire new experiences.
He said he chose Gicicio FM as the next step in his career, viewing the change as a challenge in his effort to make the station famous.
“In life, there is always a transition. So even in careers, you ought to transition to another level for growth,” he stated.
Njoroge, who went by the name First Officer, said he had been employed by Mediamax since Regional Reach Limited, when Rose Kimotho was the owner.
Njoroge is well-known for his role as host of the Kigwa Kuhihwo Murio program on Kameme TV. Alongside DJ Qariz Kenya, he co-hosted MugithiLive on the same radio station.
The broadcaster was spared a terrible car crash in June 2021 after his car collided with another vehicle on the Thika Superhighway.
According to reports, both automobiles crashed into a ditch just a few meters from from the OJ area in the Ruiru district. The journalist, however, managed to flee with only minor wounds.
“It’s true I was involved in an accident this evening along the bypass. However, I am safe and I thank God for life,” he stated at the time.
Renowned Kikuyu presenters who had been working for Mediamax lately left for other media companies.
The presenters from Kameme FM, including Moses Kanyira, Peninah Muthoni Mbugua alias PM Squared, Evans Wanyoike, Njeri Wa Njenga, Wambui Wa Maingi, and Machangi Man Solo Papa, have been poached by Kimotho, a well-known media entrepreneur.
Njoroge Wa Gichini, a former 3-Stones TV broadcaster, has entered the competition as a host of a radio show.
